The RTSP/Onvif security video EasyNVR kernel starts normally, but the video cannot be played, what is the reason?

EasyNVR is a security video cloud service platform based on RTSP/Onvif protocol, which can realize device access, real-time live broadcast, recording, retrieval and playback, cloud storage, video distribution, cascading and other video capability services, covering all terminal platforms (computer, Mobile phones, tablets and other terminals), there are a large number of landing applications in smart factories, smart construction sites, smart communities, smart campuses and other scenarios.

Recently, some users asked us for help. EasyNVR cannot play videos normally. They don’t know what caused it, so they asked us to help in troubleshooting. After receiving feedback from users, we immediately conducted investigations. Today I will share the investigation and solution process.

1) First, pull the video stream separately on the EasyNVR page, and test whether it can be played normally in VLC;

2) After testing, it is found that the video stream distributed by the local mediaserver cannot be obtained by VLC, so let's check whether the kernel is started normally;

3) After investigation, the kernel starts normally, and then check whether the configuration file has been changed;

4) During the investigation, it was found that the user enabled the function of relaying and retweeting in the kernel, causing the video stream on the platform to be retweeted directly, so it cannot be played;

5) Turn off the relay retweet function (change true to false), then restart the service, and EasyNVR can play normally.

The EasyNVR platform can process, forward, and distribute the accessed video streams. The distributed video stream formats include: RTSP, RTMP, HTTP-FLV, WS-FLV, HLS, WebRTC, etc. Based on powerful video capabilities, EasyNVR can be integrated with users' diversified scene needs, and finally form a "smart + industry solution". Interested users can go to the demonstration platform for experience or deployment testing.
