How to motivate employees?

How to motivate employees? Motivation is about discovering employees' needs and satisfying them.

Today I would like to introduce to you "Maslow's Need Theory". After all, if you want to better motivate your subordinates to create value, you first need to understand what they want. Right.

Maslow's needs theory was proposed by American psychologist Maslow in the 1940s. He divided people's needs into five categories:

First, physiological needs: The basic guarantee for a person's life, for a company, is to guarantee a basic salary. The salary paid by the company must allow him or his family to live a normal life.

Second, security requirements: As the name suggests, security. For the company, the office space and office contents must be safe, and salary payment must be stable. Various other benefits are actually ways to improve employees' safety needs.

Third, belonging needs: After satisfying the sense of security, employees must be integrated into the group and have a sense of belonging. For example, the company organizes a trip together, everyone wears the same clothes, and does activities in groups are all ways to integrate into the group.

Fourth, respect needs: I hope that what I do will be respected by others, not only in the company, but also in society. For the company, it is not only about respecting the efforts of employees, but also respecting the value they create. More importantly, let employees make a good product, a product that is useful to many people.

Fifth, self-actualization needs: Everyone has dreams, and self-actualization means realizing your dreams. What the company has to do is to combine the corporate mission with personal dreams.

Although Maslow's needs are in the form of a pyramid, it does not mean that we must first satisfy the needs below the pyramid before we can satisfy the needs above. In fact, everyone has these five types of needs at the same time, but everyone has different needs at different stages. You can't let a person who has just entered the workplace pursue self-actualization. On the contrary, you cannot satisfy a senior expert in a field with your physiological needs alone.

Finally, there is another explanation for this theory. The general meaning is that if the company cannot meet employees' needs for respect and self-actualization. He will desperately pursue money. So if I only talk to you about money, you need to reflect on it. Are there not enough other incentives?
