Hate speech is a type of discriminatory language used to attack or insult someone based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, disability, marital status, etc. The aim of hate speech detection system is to detect the presence of abusive and offensive content in social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., without being triggered by spam messages or other objectionable content. Research has shown that over half of online users use internet services for personal communication and sharing information which can be potentially harmful. For example, hate speech and violent content can be spread through online communities like forums, blogs, Q&A websites where people share their experiences and views with others.
