When it comes to the issue about whether job has greater effect on our overall happiness than social life, people's opinions differs from person to person, and culture to culture. Some hold that socializing with friends secure their happiness every day, while others may argue that confidence and fulfillment can be gained from their well-paid work. In my opinion, I support the latter one for reasons of jobs provide us with money to buy the things we want. Meanwhile, it is an easier way to get spiritual satisfaction from the devoted job.

It's true that engaging in social activities allows us to have enjoyable lifestyles. After as stressful day in the office, find a way to relax our body and mind may sounds enchanting. For example, I often choose to climb mountains with friends and family on weekends. By wondering along beaches and lakes, I am able to free myself from the sedentary lifestyle, inhale some fresh air and enjoy the peace of mind. However wonderful it is, only can it be a supplement of life rather the main part of it. Because we spend most of time to deal with the work, so even though we can gain some aspirations and relaxations from the trips, how could we finally gain the happiness if we constantly deal the unpleasant work.

What's more, holding jobs with fat pay allows people to satisfy their needs in daily life. Obviously, only with well-paid job can individuals enjoy a high quality of life and gain great enjoyment. Speaking from this point, the happiness we gain from others things also derives from the work.  In other words, workers with high salaries could afford whatever he or she wants, thus having a sense of happiness because of high level of life satisfaction.

Finally, work itself do bring people with tremendous satisfaction and fulfillment. We choose the specific job rather than others, just because we are talented to do or interest lies there. So, even some fierce competition between counterpart and challenges in the future do exist, however, this is just what intrigues the workers. By continuing hunting an interested job and working as a hobby, not only can he or she gain a generous reward at work, also because of his or her interest, he or she would put huge efforts in conducting his or her business, thus displays great talents. As a result, he or she can usually get more respect from colleagues or worship from family member, which greatly boost their confident and feel some sense of achievement.

By making the above analysis, we may safely reach the conclusion that work has greater effect on our overall happiness than social life.
