众多的 USB 接口可谓眼花缭乱！最主要的是，USB 的命名会给一些人造成误解。
随着 USB 规范的不断更新，规范对于这些接口的支持情况也是有变化的，如下图（来自维基百科）

可见，从 USB3.2 开始，Type-C 要一统江湖啊！

USB1.x 时代

1996年1月发布，USB1.0 标准发布，指定的数据速率为1.5 Mbit / s（低带宽或低速）和12 Mbit / s（全速）。1998年9月，USB1.1 标准发布，并将 USB1.0（1.5Mb/s）纳入 USB1.1。在新的 USB1.1 中，原来的USB1.0 被称为 USB1.1 Low Speed，而 12Mb/s 的 USB1.1 则被称为 USB1.1 Full Speed。

USB2.x 时代

2000年8月，正式公布 USB 2.0标准。在USB 2.0规格中，最重要的是增加更高的数据传输速率 480 Mbps (又称HighSpeed)，USB规格至此确立了3种数据传输速率，并维持至今。3种速率分别是：

1.5Mbps(Low Speed) = USB1.1 Low Speed
12Mbps(Full Speed) = USB1.1 Full Speed
480Mbps(High Speed)

目前，USB 2.0 被广泛使用中。

USB 3.1 时代

在2008年1月份发布了USB3.0，传输速度也大幅提升，从原来的最高480Mbps提升至最高5Gbps，同时名字叫SuperSpeed。2013年1月，USB-IF 宣布计划将 USB 3.0 更新至 10 Gbit/s（1.25 GB/s）。该小组最终创建了一个新的 USB 规范，USB 3.1，于2013年7月31日发布，取代了USB 3.0标准。 USB 3.1 规范接管现有 USB 3.0 的SuperSpeed USB 传输速率，也称为 USB 3.1 Gen 1，并引入了更快的传输速率，称为 SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps，称为 USB 3.1 Gen 2，它与单一的第一代Thunderbolt频道相提并论。新模式的徽标标题为SUPERSPEED+。 USB 3.1 Gen 2 标准将最大数据信号速率提高到 10 Gbit/s（1.25 GB/s），是 SuperSpeed USB 的两倍，并通过将编码方案更改为128b/132b，将线路编码开销降低到3％。第一个 USB 3.1 Gen 2 实现证明了实际传输速度为 7.2 Gbit/s。从某个文档中找到了如下说明（见附件）：

The USB 3.1 specification encompasses the USB 3.0 specification (5 Gbps signaling) and adds support for performance signaling up to 10 Gbps. The USB 3.1 specification identifies two transfer rates, USB 3.1 Gen 1 at 5 Gbps and USB 3.1 Gen 2 at 10 Gbps. It is important that vendors clearly communicate the performance signaling that a product delivers in the product’s packaging, advertising content, and any other marketing materials.

USB 3.2 时代

2017年7月25日，USB 3.0 Promoter Group发布的新闻详细介绍了USB Type-C规范的待定更新，定义了现有USB-C电缆的带宽加倍。根据 USB 3.2 规范，现有的 SuperSpeed 认证 USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 电缆将能够以 10 Gbit / s（高达5 Gbit / s）运行，而SuperSpeed+ 认证的 USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 电缆将能够运行速率为 20 Gbit / s（高达10 Gbit / s）。带宽的增加是由于用于 USB-C 连接器的触发器功能的现有电线的多通道操作造成的。从某个文档中找到了如下说明（见附件）：
