高通平台调试 ADV7533

前言

本文着重介绍 ADV7533 芯片在高通 msm8909 平台上调通的经验

硬件平台:msm8909

软件平台:Android5.0 Android8.0 (均已经调通)

芯片IC:ADV7533

功能实现:MIPI 转HDMI

 

简介:

ADV7533 是一款能够将标准MIPI信号转换为HDMI 信号的转换芯片。

即从msm8909的主控端信号,转换成HDMI信号后输出到HDMI 显示器上。

即原本输出到LCD的mipi信号,去连接到ADV7533 芯片上,然后输出到HDMI接口。

有以下几个特点:

  1. MIPI 接收特性
    1. 支持2、3、4 lane
    2. 支持 MIPI输入16bit、24bit(默认)、30bit、
    3. 最大速率,800Mz *4 lane
  2. 控制接口
    1. IIC
  3. HDMI标准
    1. HDMI v1.3 标准,兼容V1.0
  4. Audio
    1. 逻辑电平 1.8V – 3.3V
    2. 音频输出、输出转换(默认不用)
  5. 热插拔支持
    1. 利用中断实现HDMI热插拔检测(默认不用)

最终效果:

从企鹅Logo开始显示,到开机动画、桌面、息屏唤醒都显示正常。和接普通的MIPI LCD屏幕显示一样。

注意点:

  1. LK 需要配置IIC 和初始化ADV7533
  2. MIPI时钟全程使用高速模式
  3. 使用时钟连续模式

 

1. 总体修改流程

  1. 先在项目基础上适配新的一套LCD的驱动,或者在默认的LCD驱动上修改参数配置。
  2. 去除多余的 init-code 参数,只保留退出休眠、开启显示,进入休眠、关闭显示的参数。
  3. 适当调整前后肩参数及相关的 Timing 参数
  4. 增加LK和kernel的ADV7533 驱动
  5. 设置mipi时钟为高速模式
  6. 设置mipi时钟为连续模式

这里的配置流程为,在正常的新增一套LCD驱动流程的基础上。在LK和Kernel分别配置IIC + ADV7533 驱动。以这里新增lcd 驱动名字为rm68200为例,进行讲述。

 2. LK 修改

主要包含3部分

  1. 适配LK LCD驱动
  2. 配置LK IIC
  3. 增加LK ADV 7533 驱动

2.1 适配 lcd 驱动

3.1 适配Kernel LCD驱动

3.2 配置 Kernel IIC 节点

由前面客户主板原理图得知,IIC 是 gpio10、gpio11,qup 地址为78ba000。

从硬件设计和gpio功能描述,gpio10、gpio11,默认配置为SPI0,需要屏蔽掉SPI的功能配置,修改为IIC-6的功能配置。

主要包含两方面

  1. 屏蔽SPI0 配置节点,新增IIC-6 配置节点
  2. 屏蔽SPI0 pinctrl 配置,新增IIC-6 pinctrl 配置
  3. 添加 ADV7533 从设备节点

4. ADV7533 驱动流程详解

前言: ADV7533的驱动无论是在LK 还是Kernle,基本套路都是一样的。都是获取配置基本的gpio脚,用于上电控制(gpio控制外部ldo上电),中断配置(这里不用)。

然后写入需要的寄存器配置,只要输入符合格式的mipi信号,就能成功转换出HDMI 信号。

4.2  驱动流程

主要包含几部分:

  2. 申请配置IIC
  3. 读ADV7533从设备测试

LDO2、6、17 是lk 阶段,lcd 的相关的ldo 上电配置,这里直接先配置好。

gpio_3 是ADV7533 的外部上电控制,需要先上电
