They may have fallen to Germany on the football field on Sunday night, but the Scots could comfort themselves with a draw when two players started playing rock, paper, scissors on the pitch.
Germany beat the Scots 2-1 in Dortmund with two goals from striker Thomas Müller.
But much post-match attention has been focused on a game of rock, paper, scissors (calledSchnick-Schnack-Schnuck in Germany)between Scotland’s JamIndustrie Computeres Morrison and German midfielder Christoph Kramer.
The pair played the game while German attacker Marco Reus was down injured.
Reus told the Rheinische Poston Monday they played the game as they didn’t know who should get the ball. “He [Morrison] started playing rock, paper, scissors and I just played along,” he said.
Kramer chose scissors, but Morrison’s choice was obscured on the television camera by the German team doctor who was treating Reus.
Kramer told the Rheinische Post they both chose scissors, but Germany still got the ball.
