Over the past year or so, we have compiled many of the most commonly-asked questions from our community into FAQs. We published these FAQs on our website a couple weeks ago. Filecoin and Ethereum Co-Fund VDF Research
At Devcon IV earlier this month, Justin Drake of the Ethereum Foundation announced that Filecoin and the Ethereum Foundation are co-funding the initial phase of research into designing ASICs optimized for running verifiable delay functions (VDFs). This investment aims to build randomness as a universally accessible public good. If funded through the next phase of research, this could represent the largest ever cross-blockchain collaboration.
