Finally, based on the shortcomings of the current algorithm, an improved soft handover algorithm is proposed. Through simulation verification, the improved algorithm is in the average active set number (MASN), active set update rate (ASUR) and call interruption probability (OP) Both are better than traditional soft handover algorithms. Finally, the impact of the improved soft handover algorithm on the uplink and downlink performance is analyzed.
