1. Overview of Temporal Spatial Database
Real-world data is not only related to space, but also related to time. In many application fields, such as environmental monitoring, emergency and disaster relief, traffic management, medical rescue, etc. , relevant data changes with time, which is called temporal data . Many spatial database applications involve temporal data. These applications not only need to access the current state of the spatial database, but also need to access the temporal changes of the spatial database .
Many application fields require that GIS can provide comprehensive time-series analysis functions, efficiently answer various questions related to time, and comprehensively handle geographic information systems in both time and space, which is the so-called Temporal GIS (Temporal GIS ) . TGIS is basically still in the experimental stage at present, and there is no such thing at home and abroad.
