Introduction

Charles is a packet capture tool that can be used on Windows, Mac, and Linux. I personally think it is much easier to use than Fiddler. It can provide proxy services, so that mobile phones or computer software can proxy the Internet through it.

Use tutorial

  1. Install computer certificate

    Select menu Help-->SSL Proxying-->Install Charles Root Certificate

  2. Install phone certificate

    选择菜单Help–>SSL Proxying–>Install Charles Root Certificate on a Mobile Device or Remote Browser

    Connect the mobile phone and the computer to the same WIFI, enter the WIFI settings, select the configuration proxy-manually, fill in the IP and port provided by Charles

    Use the browser to log in to the website chls.pro/ssl on the mobile phone, download and install the certificate

  3. Set up monitoring sites and data

    Select the menu Proxy->SSL Proxying Settings, check Enable SSL Proxying, select add in the Location section, add as shown below, and grab the data of any site and port 443.

  4. Set up proxy

    Select the menu Proxy–>Proxying Settings, check HTTP and SOCKS, and fill in your own proxy port, as shown below. If you don't need an agent, you can skip this step.

  5. Start capturing

    Select the menu Proxy, check Windows Proxy, and then check External Proxy Settings if you need a proxy
