When using word, we usually set the level of the article title through a multi-level list (that is, link the level to the title style). In this way, the number of the title can be automatically followed, which is more convenient.
Now let’s ask the question first. Sometimes we will encounter situations where a multi-level list is already defined. Level 1 to Level 4 correspond to Title 1 to Title 4 respectively. Now if I want to add a level 5 heading, the numbering is the same as the previous one.
A relatively simple idea is that I directly modify the style of heading 5, as shown in the figure below. Select the number and bullet in the format of heading 5 style, then define the new numbering format, and then modify the numbering format to level 5 heading 1.1.1.1.1.
After setting it up, let's see how it works.
As you can see, there is a problem at this time. The level 5 heading does not follow the previous part of the level 4 heading. Here is a solution to this problem.
In order to create the level 5 heading below 1.2.2.1, first copy and paste 1.2.2.1. As shown below.
Then select 1.2.2.2 and click on the multi-level list in the toolbar. Click to define a new multi-level list.
Select the level (5) you want to modify, then enter the numbered value 1.2.2.1.1, and then link the level to the title 5 style.
At this time, change the title to style 5 to achieve the result you want as shown in the figure below.
Note: The above is just one method, not the best method. I hope everyone has a better way to discuss and exchange together.
