Overview
The IP segment is similar to 1.0.2.0-1.0.2.255 or 1.0.2.0/24 in the form of
ASN (Autonomous system number) autonomous system number
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) border gateway protocol
IP segment
In addition to its own IP address attributes, an IP segment can also have attributes of physical location and attributes of operators.
ASN
AS stands for Autonomous System, which refers to the entirety of all IP segments and routers under the jurisdiction of one (sometimes multiple) entities, which implement a common routing strategy for the Internet. (Refer to Autonomous System)
BGP
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a core decentralized autonomous routing protocol on the Internet. It realizes the reachability between autonomous systems (AS) by maintaining an IP routing table or a "prefix" table, and is a vector routing protocol. BGP does not use the traditional interior gateway protocol (IGP) indicators, but uses path-based, network policies or rule sets to determine routing. Contacting the
AS is like a country, all IPs in it are like internal residents, and the internal routing table is a bridge to communicate with internal residents. If residents want to chat with people from other countries, they need to use BGP to communicate. BGP is equivalent to a bridge between countries.
