Section 3 MPS Source Demand
A. External independent demand
External independent demand refers to the first item on the demand side in Figure 6-1.
The sales order body enters materials whose planning method is MPS, see section 1 of this chapter.
To enter a forecast order for a product whose document type is MPS, see Section 2 of this chapter.
B. Additional demand
Additional demand refers to the second item on the demand side in Figure 6-1: "The unused and reclaimed application volume of production/substitution orders, and the replenishment of safety stock. The source MPS plan locks planned orders ( Unplanned quantity)".
