List of Linux terminal shortcut keys

Here are only the shortcut keys that I think are commonly used


Up arrow key Previous input command

Tab autocompletion

ctrl+a move the cursor to the front

ctrl+e cursor moves to the end

ctrl+u delete everything from the cursor to the front

ctrl+k delete everything from the cursor to the end

ctrl+l clears the screen, equivalent to the clear command

ctrl+s Pause screen output

ctrl+Q to continue screen output

ctrl+d close the terminal

shift+PgUp terminal page up

ctrl+shift+n new terminal

ctrl+c terminates the currently running program

ctrl+z Pause the currently running program
