How to install FFmpeg program on Windows (you-get must-have program for downloading videos)

FFmpeg is a set of open source computer programs that can be used to record, convert digital audio and video, and convert them into streams. It provides a complete solution for recording, converting and streaming audio and video. It contains libavcodec, a very advanced audio/video codec library.

This program only has command line mode, so when it is installed under Windows, it is different from the general installation program. The specific installation steps are as follows:

1. FFmpeg download

Download address: https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/, choose 32-bit or 64-bit software suitable for your computer system, my computer is 64-bit:

2. Download and unzip the FFmpeg folder, it will generate a new folder named "ffmpeg-20180506-0736f32-win64-static":

3. Open any disk you want to install, for example: D disk. Create a new folder named "ffmpeg", and copy all the contents of the folder generated by the second step of decompression to the "ffmpeg" folder:

Fourth, configure FFmpeg environment variables:

Configure environment variables in the following sequence of operations:

1. Right-click My Computer on the desktop and select Properties; 2. After opening, click Elevated System Settings; 3. Select Environment Variables on the pop-up window; 4. Find the path variable in the system variables in the new pop-up window and double-click to open it for editing ;5. Fill in the installation path 'd:\ffmpeg\bin' of the bin file at the end of the variable value. Note that it is separated by a semicolon; and click OK to complete the configuration.
