Model remote control system description

The big ones are divided into two categories: FM and 2.4G. FM is subdivided into PPM and PCM. PPM receivers are common to all manufacturers (because they are analog signals), and PCM receivers can only be used by the same manufacturer. FM has faded out of the market because of its high power and easy interference.

2.4g receivers are also divided according to the standard, but now each manufacturer uses a different standard, and the transmission/reception of different factories is basically not universal.
2.4G receiving mechanism generally has the following types:

  • Tiandifei: Support all transmitters of Tiandifei
  • Old Walkera System: Supports all transmitters of the old Walkera generation, such as 2801 and 2603.
  • Walker devo: Supports Walker devo series transmitters.
  • Feimeng: Support Feimeng's own tuner, no matter what brand of receiver, you can use it as long as you replace it with Feimeng's tuner (in other words, there are fewer and fewer remote controls that can be replaced with tuners).

The price advantages of the above types are great, and the performance is not special.

  • DSM: The earliest 2.4G system is almost gone now.
  • DSM2: Spektrum's full range of remotes and some JR remotes (such as DSX7 DSM2) can be used.
  • DSMJ: JR is dedicated to a small number of remote controls (such as DSX7 DSMJ). This system was originally only used in Japan, and there are very few Chinese users. It has been discontinued.
  • DSMX: A new format developed by Spektrum, with two-way data transmission function. Currently, only three remote controllers of Spektrum DX18, DX8, and DX7S can be used, but these three remote controllers can also be used with DSM2 receivers.
  • DMSS: The new system developed by JR also has the function of two-way transmission. Currently, only JR XG7, XG8, and XG11 (not yet on the market) remote controllers can be used, and the DSM2 receiver cannot be used.
  • FHSS-1/FHSS-3: SANWA (Sanhe Electronics, the US trademark is Airtronics) special system, strong anti-interference, fast speed. The FHSS-1 receiver can be used with the full range of SANWA transmitters (including gun controls); the FHSS-3 receiver is unmatched in speed and can only be used with the famous SD-10G remote.
  • FHSS/S-FHSS: Futaba (Futaba Electronics, Futaba, Futaba) special low-end system, strong anti-interference, suitable for Futaba's  * T8J, 6J, 4YF three aircraft control and most Futaba guns control.
  • FASST: Futaba's dedicated high-end system, with strong anti-interference and fast speed. Suitable for the famous T8FG, 8FGS, 10C, 10CG, 12FG, 12Z, 14MZ, 18MZ, and 4PKS, 3PK and other gun control.
  • FAASTest: Special for Futaba 18MZ, with bidirectional transmission function, 18MZ can also use FASST receiver.

Other brands such as Frsky and Hi-tec each use their own standards, which are not common to other manufacturers.
At present, the 2.4G systems with the largest holdings are DSM2 and FASST, and the best performance is FHSS-3.
