This is my 412th original article, recording every bit of the network engineer industry, making friends with people in the IT industry.
Network Engineer Growth Diary 412-Chang'an University Project
This week has been very fulfilling, except for the v3.5 line borrowed from the Agricultural Bank of China on Tuesday to deploy to Ningxia Most of the rest of the time outside the bank
is spent on the Weishui campus of Chang'an University.

Our main work is to re-stack 8 switches in 28 computer rooms in 14 buildings of Chang'an University
because the original 8 21 series switches are stacked,
which is the limit of stacking
because its packet transmission rate is 6.6mpps, Therefore, after stacking 8 units, it is easy to cause packet loss,
which makes users feel that the Internet access is not smooth or even impossible.

What we do now is to divide the eight 21 series switches into two groups, and set a host for each group
with the command: device-prority member xy(y>2)

Because the default priority when the switches are stacked is 1.
A simpler command is: device-prority x(x>2)

The specific steps are:
1. Connect to the original host and delete the configuration inside: delete flash: config .text
2. Power-off split, daisy-chain mode.
3. After restarting, write the corresponding configuration to the host, and pay attention to modify the corresponding data in it.
4. Put the corresponding interface on the trunk, mainly the interface belonging to the native vlan, and divide the corresponding interface into a dedicated vlan.
5. Test whether it is connected with each node.

When we were configuring the east zone, we found that the stack was missing, and we tried to stack it again, but it was still unsuccessful. Finally, after asking other engineers
to check the hardware and software, we found that the version of one of the switches was downgraded.
Later, after we imported the corresponding version, it still couldn't stack up.
I really want to know the reason, and only tell me after communicating with the boss.
