Summer camp & pre-pitch

School of Artificial Intelligence, Jilin University 6.26

This was the earliest summer camp, and I started attending non-stop after the final exam. I was unprepared, almost barefaced. The summer camp arrangement of Jilin University AI Academy is also very tight, and after a short lecture, it entered the interview session.
The interview session includes self-introduction (1 minute), English reading and translation, professional questions, and communication sessions. The English reading and translation links are quite simple, and I personally think it is easier than Level 4. The professional question is to draw questions by yourself, mainly some questions related to machine learning. At that time, I learned some of the professional questions I drew in class, but I couldn't answer them well. During the exchange session, the teacher asked some detailed questions about the project, as well as life-related questions such as "how to balance study and student work".

School of Data, East China Normal University 7.1-7.3

The summer camp has a total of three days. The first day is the opening ceremony and presentation, the second day is the computer test in the morning, the afternoon is the group communication, and the third day is the interview. Closing Ceremony on the evening of the third day. According to the seniors, in the past, the list of excellent camps was announced at the closing ceremony, but this year we announced the list of excellent camps on the college website a few days after the closing of the camp.
The interview is divided into two parts, the political review and the professional interview, and they enter two conference rooms for the interview.

Computer-based test :
There are six questions in total, and you can always get it right by simply swiping the buttons. It is said that if the computer test can have three or more ACs, it will not delay the interview. However, I haven't brushed the questions before, and the computer-based test is too bad.

Interview :
1. The interview includes translation of English paragraphs and explanation of nouns in English.
2. Ask about the project, very detailed. At the same time, some questions about understanding of certain subjects were also asked.

Feelings :
1. The computer test ability needs to be improved.
2. The quality of my own projects is really hard to mention. The teacher asked very carefully, and finally the teacher politely asked me to read other people's papers before doing the project.
3. Summer camp activities are very standardized even if they are online. The number of people will be counted for each activity. If someone does not show up, the teacher will remind in the group.
The result is of course sent. I didn't get an offer from a school I really wanted to go to, and I'm a little sorry for the enthusiastic help from the seniors. At the same time, I also recognized my own nature as a dish dog. Confidence takes a hit.

School of Brain Science and Brain Medicine, Zhejiang University 7.5-7.6

The first day is the opening ceremony + presentation, the next morning is the interview, and the afternoon is the closing ceremony. Summer camp is over. The list of excellent camps was sent by email after more than a week. Zhenao's excellent camp is not an offer, and it has to participate in the pre-recommendation and exemption in September.
Through the lecture, I learned that if you go to a brain institute to work on computers, it is actually very intersecting with medicine. The field studied by the Brain Institute can be regarded as basic medicine. Those graduates of the basic medical department of the brain institute will either continue their studies (post-doctorate), or go to the hospital or take an examination after graduation; some graduates of the computer department will go to large factories such as Huawei. The training program of the Brain Institute is quite special. All the recruited students are trained according to the doctorate, and a mid-term assessment will be conducted during the training process. Students who fail the assessment will be transferred to master training.
The interview includes self-introduction, reading and translation of English literature, and professional questions and answers. During the interview, the teacher asked some questions, which did not involve professional courses, but mainly to examine my research interest and research experience in this interdisciplinary subject.

School of Computer Science, Sun Yat-sen University 7.6-7.9

The Sun Yat-Sen University summer camp lasts for 4 days. There is nothing to do on the first day. In the afternoon, the teacher will contact you to adjust the interview seat. It seems that there is still a simulated test. The next morning was the computer test, the afternoon was the opening ceremony presentation (? A little forgotten), and there was also a presentation in the evening. The daytime of the third and fourth days is interviews, and the evening is presentations.
Since I sent three schools in a row, I was in an emo state. When I arrived in Zhongshan, I saw four or five hundred people in the group, and thought it was a Neptune camp.
There are a total of 10 questions in the computer test, which can only be written in c/c++, not java. (This made it very painful for me who have not used c/c++ for eight hundred years) So while it was bad, I reviewed a little bit of c stuff. In fact, the topic is not difficult, but because it involves c++, I have forgotten a lot, so I was anxious and painful in the examination room at that time. The final machine test results were not good.
The failure of the computer test was another blow to me. So I hardly listened to the following lectures, and even wanted to give up the interview. However, with the attitude of accumulating interview experience, I still had the cheek to participate. I didn't expect the interview to be more painful, it was rubbing my IQ on the ground. The questions asked involve a lot of professional knowledge, many of which have not been reviewed, and the teacher likes to ask questions very much. If I can’t answer or get the wrong answer, he will ask me "Are you sure?" "You should go back and read the book again." In short, it was very embarrassing during the interview, and I wanted to find a crack in the ground to get in.

School of Cyberspace Security, Shandong University 7.9-7.10

A total of two days, the first day is the opening ceremony + presentation, the second day is the interview. Everyone only faces each other for 5-6 minutes, which is very short. The teacher didn't ask about professional course knowledge, but probably asked about some project content. In the end, there were nearly 70 people in total, and there were 31 excellent camps, which almost got the excellent camp. And asked the teacher, the teacher said there is no wl.

National University of Science and Technology Network and Computing Center 7.13-7.15

The first day of presentation, the second morning computer test, the afternoon presentation (it was bad in the afternoon, I didn't even listen to the presentation), and the third day of interview. In the Network and Computing Center, after the presentation, everyone chooses the direction and mentor they are interested in, and then participates in the interview for this direction. I chose the direction of network security at that time.
There are a total of 5-6 questions in the computer test, and each question has a certain weight. At that time, my machine test results were quite miserable.
During the interview, the teacher asked about the following questions:

Weak com, just contact the instructor after registration. I contacted a supervisor, he sent me a paper and asked me to pick one to read, and then contact him to report. During the report, the teacher chatted with me for nearly an hour. In the end, the teacher commented on me that "the overall quality is not bad, but I haven't done any research on Internet security at the undergraduate level." Later, the teacher said that if there is any news, he will contact me again. About a week later, I asked the teacher how it was, and the teacher said, "It's not confirmed yet, but I will definitely recommend me strongly."
Later, in September, the teacher said that he only had a place for a master's degree there, and asked me if I would like to participate in further interviews. I participated. Later, because the teacher's enrollment quota was reduced, he said that there might not be a quota for me, so I made multiple preparations. Considering many factors at that time, I told the teacher early on that I would not go to him.

School of Computer Science, Nanjing University of Science and Technology 7.22

This year is the first summer camp held by the School of Computer Science of South University of Technology, and there is no experience to learn from. About 120 people joined the camp this year. Each person will be assigned to a mentor, and the mentor will determine the time to organize the interview uniformly.

1. How many points did you score in CET-4 and CET-6, and then let me introduce myself
? 2. Which subjects are you good at? (My brain was pumped to answer data mining... In fact, I don’t remember many knowledge points) The principle of Naive Bayes? Difference between Naive Bayes and Bayesian? What is the difference between Kmeans and k-medoids?
3. What projects have you done? Why choose to use lstm? What framework is used to implement it?
4. Have you ever participated in a scientific research project?

Feeling :
I didn't give an offer on the spot this year, and I felt that the interview was not good, and I fell into deep anxiety. I was lucky to receive a text message a few days after the interview. Huh, huh, the first offer was the noble 081200. Woohoo, I have an offer. Before the interview, I reviewed a lot of professional courses and mathematics knowledge, but I didn't ask any questions during the interview. Instead, I asked about items that were almost unprepared. Therefore, you must be well-prepared for the interview.

Center for Space Application Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in mid-August

After going through many blows at the summer camp, I originally reported to this camp with the attitude of giving it a try, but I didn't expect to become the final destination.
The summer camp is mainly divided into two stages: presentation and interview. During the presentation stage, after reading a lot of introductions about the center, the feelings of family and country emerged spontaneously. During the interview stage, I can’t remember what I was asked. It was probably about some simple questions about the project, and there was also a question about computer composition.
Immediately after the interview, a teacher added me on WeChat, saying that he wanted to have a further chat with me. After gradually getting to know this teacher in depth, I like his research direction more, and I also think this teacher is super nice. And I also looked at the employment prospects of the students who graduated from the center in the first three years, which is still good. Later, I wholeheartedly wanted to go to the Space Application Center!
For the summer camp of the Space Application Center, as long as you get the excellent camp+ and the teacher agrees to accept it, you can get an offer. And very honest, according to the ratio of 1:1 to send out the admission notice, there is no pigeon phenomenon.
(Updated on May 14, 2023: Two days ago, the center has organized our event to go to Wenchang to observe the launch of Tianzhou-6. The on-site viewing ceremony is really super shocking. Now I am very respectful and yearning for the aerospace industry.)

School of Cyber ​​Security, Southeast University 8.24

Since some seniors and sisters of our school went to Southeast Wangan in previous years, I have always hoped to go to Southeast Wangan. During the interview, I mainly asked project questions, and did not ask about professional courses, so I dug the project extremely carefully. It is necessary to polish every detail when working on the project in order to withstand the teacher's questions. So my water project was naturally full of loopholes under the teacher's questions...
The final result was Nanjing's alternate excellent camp. This year, you need to reach a double selection with your mentor. I came to me as an alternate in mid-September, but because I had already agreed to the teacher at the National University of Science and Technology, after a fierce ideological struggle, I reluctantly gave up Southeast. (I also gave up the 985 title)
But I didn't expect that in 928, the Youying+wl with more than 400 people in the southeast was still worn by pigeons? ! (Enrollment number 180)

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics 9.24

In less than 10 minutes of the interview, the whole thing is just small talk. What are you asking, what research direction do you want to do?
