Espressif's Thread border router solution has passed the Thread 1.3 certification, and the development board is officially on the shelves!

Espressif's Thread Border Router solution has obtained  the Thread Certified Component certificate issued  by Thread Group   , complies with the latest Thread 1.3 standard, and supports Matter application scenarios.

The solution is built by combining Espressif's Wi-Fi SoC (ESP32, ESP32-C, ESP32-S) and IEEE 802.15.4 SoC (ESP32-H2). Its  SDK  is based on the Espressif ESP-IDF IoT development framework and the open-source OpenThread protocol stack, supports the construction of all network features of the Thread border router, and integrates rich product-level functions to help customers quickly realize productization.

Espressif’s Thread border router solution not only supports the protocol functions defined in the Thread 1.3 standard, including bidirectional IPv6 connection, Service Discovery Delegate, Service Registration Server, Multicast Forwarding, NAT64, etc. ; At the same time, it also supports product-level functions such as Web GUI for device configuration, automatic RCP upgrade, and RF coexistence, helping customers to quickly launch products.
