Install Bliss OS 15 (Android 12 SnowCone)

introduce

Recently Bliss OS 15 came out. It's an Android that can be installed on a laptop, and it's based on Android 12 SnowCone. It is very cool to use, and the interface is also very nice. Let's take a look at how to install it!

preparation tools

Hardware (prepare by yourself)

  1. A computer (requires Windows pre-installed)
  2. a U disk

Software (I will provide a link at the end of the article)

  1. UltraISO
  2. Image file (iso) of Bliss OS 15

Install

1. BIOS checklist

Before installation, you need to modify the settings in the BIOS, otherwise you may not be able to start the system.

Key words value
Secure Boot closure
HDD mode RAID

Secure Boot must be turned off, otherwise you can only enter Windows (or a system configured with Secure Boot). Secondly, the hard disk mode must not be RST, but it can be RAID, otherwise the system cannot be started. For the steps to turn off RST, you can read my article: Turn off Intel RST and the resulting blue screen repair method .

2. Write the image to the U disk

The steps are omitted here, and students who don’t know how to burn U disks can refer to this: Use UltraISO to write the system to U disks .

3. Test

Before officially installing the system, it is best to test whether the system can run perfectly on your computer.
First, make sure your computer is turned off.
Insert the U disk into the computer, then boot into Bliss OS, select the first item (with the word "Live") to test whether it can be booted.

4. Partition

If the system can boot normally, you can return to the Windows system, partition the local disk, and set aside a blank area for installing Bliss OS. Here, I allocated a 32GB empty partition to store it.

5. Installation

Then, shut down the computer. Restart to Bliss OS, and then select "BlissOS-15.8.6 2023-08-03 Installation"

. On this page, use the up and down keys to select the empty partition just separated, and then confirm.
insert image description hereAt this point you will be asked if you need to format this partition. If you have not installed an old version of Bliss OS before, it is recommended to choose to format as ext4. If you have installed Bliss OS before, do not format (unless you want to delete the original data).

Wait for a while to enter the page, select "Yes".

(Note: This interface does not necessarily appear) If you have installed an old version of Bliss OS before, you will see this interface. Select "Yes" here.

(Note: This interface may not appear) If you have installed an old version of Bliss OS before, you will see this interface. Choose "Yes" here, so that the original old version of Bliss OS will be updated.
insert image description hereAfter that, just wait for it to finish installing.

6. Adjust the boot order

(Note: Not every computer needs this operation, it depends on your habits)
After installing Bliss OS, it will enter the EFI Boot Manager of Bliss OS by default every time it is turned on. If you want to use the original Boot Manager (for example, I am used to rEFInd), then you need to enter the UEFI settings to adjust the boot order.
First, check "Advanced options" in Bliss OS.

Select "UEFI OS".
Once in, switch to the "Boot" tab, check your favorite Boot Manager, and raise it to the first place.
insert image description hereSwitch to the "Exit" tab, check "Exit Saving Changes", and then "Yes", to exit.

Have you noticed the Error code below in this picture? Do you feel like you are scolding...

a fly in the ointment

Bliss OS is really good, but there are still some minor flaws.

  1. Sometimes the screen will be erected, and the screen has to be locked with ScreenOrientation.
  2. Some software cannot open small windows.
  3. Unlike Bliss OS 11, the x86 version of Bliss OS 15 does not support Arm applications because there is no Houdini or Libndk in it.

Creation is not easy, give a like and go~
