Soil Grids 250m v2.0
SoilGrids was designed as a globally consistent, data-driven system for predicting soil properties and classes using global covariates and globally fitted models. If you are looking for soil information at the national and/or local level, we recommend comparing SoilGrids forecasts with soil maps from national and local soil geodatabases. National Soil Maps are usually based on more detailed input soil information and are therefore generally more accurate (within local coverage areas) than SoilGrids. For an overview of national and regional soil databases, please refer to Soil Geodatabase Compendium. Both "mean" and "median (0.5 quartile)" can be used as predictors of soil properties for a particular unit. Means represent "expected values" and provide unbiased predictions of soil properties.
