If you want to connect an 8K display to your Mac computer, make sure your computer model supports 8K resolution and use the correct connection method.
Some Mac models support 8K resolution for external displays, and higher refresh rates up to 240Hz at 4K resolution, with expanded support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).

Connect an HDMI cable directly from the HDMI port on the Mac to the display.
For the highest resolution and refresh rate, do not use adapters with HDMI cables.
Set the resolution and refresh rate of your monitor
After you connect a display, use the Display settings on your Mac to set the display's resolution and refresh rate.
On some monitors, you may need to first enable 8K resolution and VRR using the monitor's built-in menu. On some TVs, these settings appear under different names, such as "game mode" for VRR and "input signal plus" for 8K resolution.
When connecting an 8K display, make sure to use a high-quality Thunderbolt 3 connector and plug it into the correct port. Also, your Mac computer must be running the latest version of macOS to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
Note that connecting an 8K display will put some strain on your computer's graphics processing power and performance. As a result, your computer may consume more power and heat up when using an 8K display.
