Ubuntu requires a normal Internet connection throughout the process because some installation packages need to be downloaded.
step
1. Open system settings
Click the system menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select the "Settings" option.
2. Enter the "Region and Language" settings
In the system settings interface, find and click Region&Language
Options.
3. Add Chinese language support
In the "Region and Language" settings interface, click the option below Manage Installed Languages
.
If it is the first time to use Manage Installed Languages

It will prompt 语言支持没有完全安装
(The language support is not installed completely), click Install to install.
Enter your password to confirm permissions.
4. Choose to install Simplified Chinese
ClickInstall/Remove Languages…
In the pop-up Installed Languages
window, find Chinese Simplified
(Simplified Chinese) and click Apply
(Apply)
Installing... , it may take a while.
5. Modify the system language
After the installation is completed, Language for menus and windows
find the downloaded file at the bottom, 汉语(中国)
hold down the left mouse button and drag it to the top.
After dragging is completed, close Language Support
the window.
After closing Language Support
the window, return to Region&Language
,
Make sure the system language (Language) option has been changed to 汉语(中国)
or Chinese.
6. Restart the system
In order for the system language setting to take effect, Ubuntu needs to be restarted.
After the restart is complete, log in and enter the desktop. After modifying the system language, a window will pop up when you restart for the first time, as follows:

Just open an interface and you can see that the system language has been changed to Chinese.
