SQL Server 2008 data scheduled automatic backup and automatic deletion method, the same plan has both data backup and data deletion operation methods

method/step

1. 1. Click [Management] - [Maintenance Plan] under the instance name - right-click the mouse, click [Maintenance Plan Wizard], fill in the plan name, and then click [Next];

   

   

2. 1. In the maintenance plan wizard window, click the [Change] button and set the job plan properties, including the properties of the execution plan, the frequency of the execution plan, and the start time of the execution plan; then click [OK]-[Next];

   

3. 1. In the Maintenance Plan Wizard task window, check [Backup Database (Complete)] - ["Clear Maintenance" Task], and then click [Next];

   

4. 1. In the maintenance sequence window, select [Backup Database (Complete)], and then click [Next];

   

5. 1. In the Define "Backup Database (Complete)" task window, select the database we want to back up (you can select multiple backup libraries), the backup path, the extension of the backup data, whether the backup data is compressed, and then click [Next] ];

   

6. 1. In the Define "Clear Maintenance" task window, select the type of data type file to be deleted, file location, extension, and file deletion cycle, and then click [Next];

   

7. 1. Select the storage location of the maintenance plan log and click [Next]-[Finish] to complete the automatic backup and automatic deletion plan of the database;
