[Reprint] Six-in-one debugging artifact TTL to USB module

Every time when debugging, I can't remember the position of the switch DIP switch, so I always have to check it. Reprint it today, thanks to the power of open source.

Functions and product features

1. Ultra-small size. The circuit board is only 3.1cm X 1.8cm. It is ultra-small in size, less than the size of a USB flash drive, and only occupies the width of a USB port. Even on laptops where the two USB ports are very close together, two can be easily placed side by side.

2. Compatible with 3.3V and +5V. Whether it is 3.3V voltage or +5V voltage, this module can support it.

 3. 3.3V and +5V power supply output. This module can be used to power the microcontroller system to facilitate debugging. The maximum current output is 500mA.

4. Overcurrent protection. The on-board resettable fuse will not damage the circuit board or computer even if the positive and negative terminals are short-circuited. If a short circuit occurs or the current exceeds 500mA, the fuse will automatically open and return to normal when the circuit returns to a non-short circuit state. Effectively protect computer security.

5. Transceiver indicator light. When there is data on the serial port's transmit line or receive line, the transceiver indicator light on the board will light up to facilitate debugging.

6. TTL level interface.

7. RS232 level interface.

8. RS485 level interface, automatic sending and receiving control, no need for sending and receiving control lines, default receiving state, and there are numbers on the sending line

When the data is sent, it changes to the sending state.

9. The four levels of USB, TTL, RS232 and RS485 can be freely switched to each other. The unique circuit design realizes functions through switches.

Can be switched, convenient and fast.

10. High-speed and stable communication rate. The baud rate is up to 1Mbps.

11. Lead out DTR and RTS control signals, multi-functional, support MSP430 microcontroller BSL download, etc.

Functional self-closed loop test

The product functions can be verified through the self-closed loop test of USB to TTL and the self-closed loop test of USB to 232. Methods as below:

USB to TTL self-closed loop: Connect the TXD and RXD of the module with a DuPont cable, dial the corresponding DIP switch according to the instructions in function selection, then insert the module into the computer, use the serial port debugging assistant to send data to see if there is The corresponding data is returned. If the sent data can be received, it proves that the module is functioning normally.

USB to 232 self-closed loop: Connect the 232-TXD and 232-RXD of the module with Dupont cable, dial the corresponding DIP switch according to the instructions in function selection, then insert the module into the computer, and use the serial port debugging assistant to send data , to see if there is corresponding data returned. If the sent data can be received, it proves that the module is functioning normally.

Function selection

This serial port conversion module selects the conversion function through a two-digit DIP switch and patch switch. The functional configuration is as follows:

Interface wiring instructions

I just bought it, not for promotion by Taobao sellers, but for my own convenience in debugging in the future. This is just for explanation! !
