Open source multimedia player VLC releases 3.0.20, adding AV1 hardware decoding for Windows

The open source multimedia player VLC recently released the latest version 3.0.20.

The announcement reads that this is a moderate update for the VLC 3.0 branch: it upgrades the codec, fixes FLAC quality issues, and improves playback of multiple formats, including improved subtitle rendering. It also fixes freezing issues when using frame-by-frame operations. On macOS, audio layout issues have also been resolved.

The update log is as follows:
