Over the past decade, Kubernetes has evolved into the backbone of modern application deployment and revolutionized the process of innovation. Kubernetes was the first project accepted into the CNCF incubator in March 2016, and it is still a top open source project. Kubernetes not only defies expectations of itself, it also sets a North Star for the entire CNCF ecosystem. Since then, CNCF has grown to more than 184 cloud native projects, and Kubernetes' success in CNCF has set a benchmark of what's possible for other projects.

Kubernetes is now the de facto standard for deploying and operating containerized applications. Originally developed by Google and released as open source in 2014, Kubernetes is based on 15 years of experience running Google's containerized workloads and valuable contributions from the open source community. Kubernetes makes everything related to deploying and managing applications easier.

#KuberTENes 10th Anniversary Celebration

On June 6 , the Kubernetes and cloud native communities will come together globally to celebrate a remarkable decade and look ahead to the next #KuberTENes. Here’s how everyone in the community can get a chance to #celebr8k8s.
