As one of the community governance structures, the openKylin Community Ecological Committee's main responsibility is to work with core community partners to promote community ecological co-construction, create innovative solutions, and enhance the influence of the openKylin brand.
This meeting was hosted by Alibaba Damo Academy (hereinafter referred to as "Dharma Academy"), a member unit of the community and a member unit of the ecological committee. Zhu Zhenzhen, a RISC-V and ecological technology expert from DAMO Academy, reviewed the operating highlights and key points of the openKylin community in the past two months, and reported to the committee members on the progress of community members, platforms, ecology, SIGs and activities, openKylin Community Release SIG Maintainer Zhang Tianxiong reported to the committee members on the progress of the openKylin version.
In the past two months, the openKylin community has added 20+ new members and 4 new SIGs. So far, the total number of community members has reached 455 and the total number of SIGs has reached 104, covering kernel/hardware/architecture/drivers, basic components, desktop environment/design, Development framework, system security, artificial intelligence and other technical directions; on the platform side, 2 functional modules have been launched and 20+ optimization requirements have been launched; on the version side, the openKylin 2.0 Alpha2 version has been released, and the comprehensive selection and upgrade of the basic library and community have been completed Partners' contributions were incorporated and 500+ bugs left since the release of openKylin 2.0 Alpha version were fixed; on the event operation side, the final review of the AI development framework construction and optimization competition for RISC-V architecture was completed, and two urban user group Meetups were held. , launched the openKylin 2.0 wallpaper collection competition, and participated in many international open source events and university salons.
Subsequently, Wang Yunlong, a senior technical expert on RISC-V and ecology from DAMO Academy, shared the progress of Xuantie RISC-V & openKylin cooperation. He said that after joining the openKylin community, Xuantie and the openKylin community have had in-depth cooperation in technology integration, software adaptation and ecological promotion. They have completed the adaptation of the openKylin system to the Yiying 1520 development board and comprehensively optimized the desktop performance of the openKylin Xuantie platform. , adapted to Bluetooth, wifi and other peripherals. At the same time, based on the basic platform of Xuantie CPU + openKylin operating system, it has realized the smooth operation of large-scale commercial IM for the first time on the RISC-V architecture, and completed the integration of Foxit OFD layout office suite software and Sogou input method on the openKylin RISC-V version. Migration work. In the openKylin 2.0 Alpha version, Xuantie cooperated in depth with the community to complete openKylin’s support for the cloud native and AI framework of the Xuantie platform.
At the end of the meeting, each participating committee member conducted an in-depth discussion on the progress of community operations and follow-up activity planning, and put forward their own opinions and suggestions on community construction.
