Visual Studio 2019 16.4 release, adding GitHub integration of

Microsoft recently released  Visual Studio 2019 Version 16.4 , a new version of the noteworthy feature is added to the integration of GitHub , which was originally part of Visual Studio GitHub extension of some functions, it has been formally integrated into the Visual Studio 2019 in. Visual Studio development team, said many developers want to add this feature.

With this feature, the user can directly publish the code to GitHub. In Team Explorer Synchronization page, by clicking the Publish to GitHub user button will publish a local Git repository to GitHub.

In addition, Microsoft also specifically emphasized to  support older versions of Visual Studio schedule . It encourages users to upgrade to the new version 16.4, and stop using the old version. For example, the following versions are about to stop supporting:

  • Studio 2017 Version 15.0 Visual  - 2020 will be held January 14 to stop support
  • Visual Studio 2010 suite of products - will be held July 14 in 2020 to stop supporting

For still using 16.1, 16.2 and 16.3 users, also recommends upgrading to version 16.4, because the former is lower update frequency, it supported a shorter time.

  • AddressSanitizer supported on Windows with MSVC compiler project.
  • Support will be released to a local Git repository GitHub .
  • By vertical document tabs to change the vertical layout of the document tab.
  • This version of the  .NET efficiency enhancements include: the ability to configure the code style rules directly in the wrong list of severity level; "Find All References" option is now available by type and members of the grouping; been restructured local function can be set static, and passed to the declaration and call the function defined in an external function variables.
  • Integrated terminal adds new functionality and stability of conventional repair (only for preview)
  • Container tool window to add a check, stop, start, and delete functions Docker containers and images
  • You can choose to auto hide windows tool to improve startup performance
  • C ++ MSBuild and CMake projects for Clang and MSVC of  support .

  • This version of the  .NET Productivity  New features include the severity level configuration code style rules directly through the editor, the new command Go To Base along easily navigating up the inheritance chain, NULL is added to check all the parameters and add method to cover XML document.
