Microsoft released Linux version of Microsoft Defender ATP, and plans to introduce its Android and other mobile terminal

Microsoft has released a public preview version for Linux Microsoft Defender ATP's. Need to distinguish is, Microsoft Defender is Microsoft's anti-virus security software, Defender ATP (Advanced Threat Protection) is an enterprise-class platform designed to help corporate network to stop, detect, investigate and respond to advanced threats.

Now, the product can be tested in six different Linux distributions, respectively RHEL 7 +, CentOS Linux 7 +, Ubuntu 16 LTS +, SLES 12 +, Debian 9+ and Oracle EL7.

In addition, Microsoft also announced plans to introduce the Defender ATP iOS and Android devices.

Rob Lefferts Microsoft vice president, said in an interview that, although Apple and Google app stores are quite safe, but there is still a lot of malicious software, because the software can not be installed through official channels. He believes Defender helps users from abuse on the mobile device malware and phishing attacks.
