In the discrete GPU field, AMD is catching up. As of the fourth quarter of 2019, in the discrete GPU domain, NVIDIA has a larger market share of 68.92%. In terms of AMD, AMD benefited from the launch of the RX5500 and RX5600 series in 2018Q4, as well as the increased volume of the RX5700 series. Many factors have jointly promoted the share of AMD graphics cards to rise sharply, from 18.77% in 2018 to 31.08%. Some models of AMD's Radeon series use 7nm process, and in comparison with NVIDIA's products (RTX2070 against RX5700, RTX2070S against 5700XT), AMD of the same series has slightly stronger performance, lower prices, and the focus is on the same power consumption. With stronger performance and lower power consumption, AMD's products will undoubtedly pose a challenge to NVIDIA's market share.
