Linux On iPhone is coming soon, supports dual boot of iOS

According to  FOSSBRTES  reports, users will soon be able to run Linux on the iPhone as they do on Android devices through the dual-boot feature. Currently, jailbreakers, developers  Raffaele  and  mcg29  have published detailed instructions on their  Github pages , detailing how to dual-boot 64-bit iOS devices.

These instructions include: detailed steps for partitioning and restoring the root file system, creating a custom ramdisk, modifying the file system partition, and booting to the device.

Although the content listed is mainly for the steps of iOS partition, users can also use the same instructions to dual boot Linux and Android kernels.

Now, under the condition that a suitable Linux kernel can be started, I believe we will soon see Linux dual boot support in iOS devices. IPhones that use iOS, Android, and Ubuntu Touch for triple boot are no longer far away.

It is worth mentioning that Raffaele also recently shared a tweet that he has successfully used iPad 11.3.1 as the main operating system and launched iPad Mini 2 quadruple.

However, for those who want to try according to the instructions, it is recommended to operate on the backup machine for safety reasons.
