The first CIVC 2023 China Industrial Vision Conference will be grandly unveiled at the 2023 Suzhou Global Intelligence Expo from June 26 to 27, 2023! The conference forum [Power Vision Technology Facing the "Double Carbon" Goal] will be held on the afternoon of June 26. Mainly from the bottleneck of the implementation of power vision technology, how to build a credible, reliable and explainable power vision system, and conduct in-depth discussions.

The first CIVC 2023 China Industrial Vision Conference includes 3 conference forums on the afternoon of June 26, interpreting relevant hot spots from three perspectives: power vision technology, industrial vision technology in traditional industries, 3D vision and digital twins in intelligent manufacturing. Topics and technical difficulties, displaying cutting-edge technology and research results of the industry. Today I will bring you a detailed introduction to the conference forum [Electric Vision Technology for "Double Carbon" Goals].

In response to the increasingly severe problem of climate change, China has proposed the strategic goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, drawing a grand blueprint for national climate governance and energy low-carbon transformation. The construction of a new power system under the "dual carbon" goal requires safer and more efficient operation and maintenance of power generation, power transmission, power transformation, power distribution and power consumption.

Power vision technology is the application technology of computer vision in power system. It is an important part of power artificial intelligence and an important supporting technology for intelligent inspection of power equipment. At present, through inspection methods such as drones and robots, the number of inspection images and videos obtained is increasing. More and more researchers are studying power intelligent inspection based on computer vision technology, and have made certain research progress.

Although a lot of progress has been made in the various links of "generation, transmission, transformation and distribution", there are still many practical problems that have not been resolved. Therefore, an electric power vision technology forum oriented to the goal of "dual carbon" is organized, and relevant domestic experts are invited to conduct in-depth discussions.

Forum reports and guests

Forum report 1: "Where are the bottlenecks in the implementation of power vision technology?"

At present, power vision technology has been widely used in various power scenarios for power transmission, transformation and distribution. Although high accuracy has been obtained for some scenarios, there are still more or less problems in almost all visual processing results, such as the need to Manual verification, such as being able to identify "whether there is" but not "to what extent", can not meet the actual needs of production. Therefore, it is said that the power vision technology has not yet been fully applied. Aiming at the implementation problem of power vision technology, the bottleneck is deeply excavated from all aspects of "transmission, transformation and distribution".

Panel topics and guests

Topic 1: Where is the bottleneck of power vision technology not fully implemented?

At present, in my country's power industry, a large number of research and applications of power vision technology have been carried out. For example, drones are used for daily inspections of overhead transmission lines, and robots are used for inspections of substation equipment. What is particularly prominent is that almost all power grid operation companies are currently equipped with drones, and the State Grid Corporation of China alone has more than 10,000 drones. Therefore, power vision has become a key core technology in power intelligent operation and maintenance.

However, the current power vision technology has not yet been fully applied, and the convincing degree of its processing results has not yet met the actual requirements. For example, the defect detection ability for small targets and small samples is insufficient, and the defect detection ability for irregular and inconspicuous defects is insufficient. Therefore, after the UAV data collection and image processing, it is necessary for the inspection personnel to perform secondary processing In order to avoid missed inspections, it is impossible to achieve a real replacement of manual and complete landing applications.

Therefore, we ask such a question: where is the bottleneck of power vision technology not fully implemented? How to solve?

Topic 2: How to build a credible, reliable and explainable power vision system?

In June 2022, the China Association for Science and Technology released the 2022 major scientific issues, engineering and technical problems, and industrial technical issues. plan?". As an industrial application of artificial intelligence technology, the power vision system still has the problem of "credible, reliable and interpretable". Therefore, it is urgent to build a credible, reliable and explainable power vision system.

For example, in actual production, inspectors also need to perform secondary processing on the pictures processed by the visual algorithm to avoid missing inspections. In this way, work will be repeated, the workload will be heavy, and the expected goal will not be achieved. This is also a manifestation of not being credible or reliable enough. On the other hand, for the identification of defects, the manual labeling of defect boxes is still used, and then the deep learning algorithm is executed. The physical meaning or correlation of defect features cannot be given. Therefore, the entire algorithm model is still uninterpretable. At the same time, for new defect forms, the visual system will be powerless.

Therefore, we ask the question: how to build a trustworthy, reliable and interpretable power vision system?
