1. Memory bandwidth test
This is the data measured when the BIOS is fully defaulted. At this time, the memory frequency is 5600MHz, the timing is 46-45-45-89 CR2, and the read, write, and copy bandwidths of the memory are 86003MB/s and 75290MB/s respectively. S, 74588MB/s, memory delay is 84.8ns.
Open the XMP mode directly in the BIOS, so that the Phantom Z5 RGB DDR5-7200 memory runs at 7200MHz frequency, the timing is 36-46-46-115 CR2, and the default voltage is 1.35V.
At this time, the read, write, and copy bandwidths of the memory are 106GB/s, 91306MB/S, and 95808MB/s respectively, an increase of 21-28%, and the delay is reduced to 70.3ns, a drop of 17%.
2. Overclocking test and stability test
Pressurize to 1.425V, keep 36-46-46-115 CR2 timing unchanged, can enter the system normally at 8000MHz frequency, and test the AIDA64 memory cache data, but fail the Memtest stability test, and finally reduce the frequency to 7800MHz and finally stabilize.
At 8200MHz, the read speed is 115GB/s, the write speed is 98747MB/s, and the delay is only 65.8ns.
Voltage 1.425V, frequency 8200MHz, timing 36-46-46-115 CR2, using MemtestPro 4.3 to test the stability after overclocking, a total of 97 minutes of testing, progress 136%, 0 errors.
It can also be seen from the above figure that the temperature of the SPD Hub is only 56 degrees at this time.
4. Summary: You have to be Zhiqi to play high-frequency memory
In the past, the memory capacity was 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. The Phantom Z5 RGB DDR5-7200 24GB is one of the first batch of memory with a single capacity of 24GB, filling the gap between 16GB and 32GB.
Most 32GB memory on the market is much worse in timing and frequency than 16GB memory, but the performance of Phantom Z5 RGB DDR5-7200 24GB is almost the same as that of 16GB.
For players who want to experience large-capacity memory but cannot accept the high price of 32GB, 24GB will be a good choice.
