DPM2012 series of five: Use SCOM2012 to monitor DPM2012

For DPM2012 backup server, or we can choose to use SCOM2007R2 SCOM2012 to be monitored. In order to achieve SCOM2012 monitoring DPM2012, we need to do the following two things:
First, the monitoring agent SCOM2012 DPM2012 mounted thereon;
Second, the introduction of the relevant management pack DPM2012 SCOM2012 above;
Note: DPM2012 can be carried out by SCOM2007R2 or SCOM2012 monitor, but can not install DPM console in SCOM2007R2 above, the latest SCOM2012 Monitoring Server can support already installed DPM2012 console on which to facilitate centralized management and control. Follow-up article I will do a detailed introduction.
This article will first introduce the method to use to monitor DPM of SCOM2012.
First we install SCOM agents, select the "management" as the DPM server, and then right-click the "Agent Management" figure.
Enter the "Computer and Device Management Wizard", select "Windows computer" figure.
In select Auto or Advanced screen, select Advanced discovery, discovery of the computer and the device type is "server and client", and specify a SCOM2012 management server. As shown in FIG.
In the discovery method screen, select Manual Discovery Dpm server, and here I manually enter the FQDN Dpm2012, as shown.
Computer input an account with the agent permission to install, as shown in FIG.
In findings interface, we can see that we have found Dpm2012 devices need to be managed. As shown in FIG.
In summary interface configured Agent and the Agent installation operation of the account, as shown in FIG.
Start the agent installation, as shown.
After a period of waiting, the agent successfully installed, as shown.
After the agent installation is successful, the initial state is not monitored, we need to wait for some time to return to normal. As shown in FIG.
After the agent installation is complete, let's manually imported Dpm2012 management pack.
Select "Management" - "Management Pack" - "Import Management Pack", as shown in FIG.
Select "Add Disk" as shown.

In the import list, it is determined no error packet to be imported, and then select the "install", as shown in FIG.
Dpm2012 of Mp package import was successful. As shown in FIG.
Go back to the agent monitoring interface, the agent has a normal state, as shown.
Finally, in order to properly monitor the access to relevant information and alerts Dpm2012, we also need to configure Dpm2012 server.
Open Dpm2012 Administrator console, switch to the Administration tab in the Options menu, select "alert issued", click the "Publish Active Alerts" as shown.
After a while, we go back to SCOM2012 monitoring interface can be found for monitoring Dpm2012 have been working properly. As shown below.
