DPM2012 Series # 19: Configure a secondary backup server

To meet the demand for off-site disaster recovery, in general we need to deploy an off-site disaster recovery server, using protected mode DPM TO DPM, the DPM server on the main data protection.
For remote installation Dpm2012 server, it is relatively simple, and installation procedures Dpm master server consistent data protection in order to achieve the main Dpm server, we need to do to configure the following two aspects of the work on building a good off-site server Dpm :
1) based on the secondary server Dpm Dpm2012 proxy server is installed, the local proxy server master Dpm Dpm point remote server;

To protect the group named, select the disk protection method for short-term protection, as shown in FIG.

Check disk allocation, as shown.
To save disk space Dpm server, you can check the "data-location Dpm storage pool."
In order to prevent Dpm because of lack of space causes the backup volume fails, you can check the "automatically increase the volume."
For a more rational allocation of space, you can click on the image above the "Edit" to customize the size of disk space, as shown.
Select the replica creation method, as shown.
Select the consistency check option, as shown.
After confirming the configuration is no problem, select "Create Group" as shown.
Protection group created successfully. As shown in FIG.
Data backup is successful, as shown.
note:
Dpm a master server if the server has been assisted Dpm protect another one, then the main Dpm server will not be able to protect themselves (of course, do not need to protect yourself), because one of the main Dpm only a local backup agent, if this agent is used by the auxiliary Dpm, then it can not itself be used again, the same agent can only be used by one Dpm server.
