1. What is the Canadian GCKey?
- GCKey services are provided by the Government of Canada, it allows you to safely conduct online business with a variety of government programs and services. GCKey send your GCKey service to you.
- GCKey is a unique certificate, you can protect your online communication with government programs and services. Use your GCKey, you can access the online list of programs and services to enable our service page.
What 2.GCKey username and password rules?
- Your username and password protect your GCKey, and should always be kept confidential. You should not share with anyone, including representatives of the Government of Canada.
Suggestions for 3. Create a user name
- Let your user name is easy to remember, it is difficult for others to guess;
- Avoid using personal information such as name, social security number, mailing address or e-mail address;
- Always keep your username safe and do not share it with anyone.
4. User Requirements
- Between 8-16 characters long;
- Digital not more than 7;
- Not contain special characters (%, ¥, &, @, etc.);
- Recommend your user name letters and numbers.
The password requirement
- Make your password easy to remember, it is difficult for others to guess;
- Avoid using personal information such as name, social security number, mailing address or e-mail address;
- Always keep your password safe and do not share it with anyone;
- Between 8 and 16 characters;
- Comprising at least one capital letter;
- Comprising at least a lower case letter;
- Passwords can not contain three or more consecutive characters from your user name.
6.GCKey is what to do with
Your GCKey access is enabled for the service. However, you must register GCKey, and then register online government programs or services you want to access. A GCKey can be used to access multiple departments of projects and services.

7. You can have more than one GCKey it?
Yes, you can use a different service GCKey each enabled. Check out what is enabled services? FAQ for more information.
You need to remember to use which GCKey register each service. If you forget, GCKey service can not help you, because it does not know what services you visit or how much you have GCKey.
8. Do I need a different GCKey for each computer I use?
You can use the same on different computers GCKey, provided that they are connected to the Internet and use the browser to work.
9. My GCKey expired yet?
Yes, you can GCKey expired. Our system requires that you use at least once every 24 months GCKey. If you do not use your GCKey every 24 months, it will expire. If this happens, you will no longer be able to access online services enabled.
If your GCKey expired, you will be required to register a new GCKey, and re-register each enabled service you want to use.
