WDS deployment

I. Introduction
WDS is a windows deployment services (windows deployment services), mainly used in mass deployment of operating systems and medium-sized computer networks. WDS can be installed by using an unattended script and image management, and provide a way to participate in the installation manual and unattended installation, greatly enhance the speed of deployment of the operating system.
Second, the experimental environment
(1) Server2016 virtual machine (as a server)
(2) Windows 10 virtual machine (as a client)
Third, start the configuration
(1) Configure the DHCP
1, first modify the computer host name, in order to later install the system easy to prepare.

2, to configure the IP address of the server.

3, then configure the WDS service, click Server Manager, click Add Roles and Features.

4, click Next, and then click Next, click Add DHTP services, and Windows services deployment.

5. Click Next, then click Install.

6, after installation we open DHTP service in Windows management tools.

7, double-click to expand, right-click IPV4, create a new scope.

8, click Next, create the role of a domain name.

9. Click Next to set the IP address.

10, we do not rule out the set address, in order to simplify the experiment, click Next.

11, the default lease duration is eight days, click Next.

12, configure DHCP options selected by default, click Next.

13, a gateway to 192.168.100.1, click Add, click Next.

14, set the DNS address, add a DNS address, because we did not configure DNS.

15, Wins service not set click Next.

16, activate a scope, the default selection, click Next.

17. Click Finish, scope it configured.
(2) Configuration WDS
1, open the Windows management tools, Windows Deployment Services (hereafter by "WDS" instead).

2, right click on the server to configure the server.

3, click Next, select the stand-alone server, click Next.

4, select the input path to the remote folder by default unchanged, click Next.

5, the proxy DHCP service all checked, the default unchanged, click Next.

6, all client computers in response to selection.

7. Click Finish, WDS deployed.

8, we need to install the image file, right-click the bottom right corner of the DVD, tap Settings, tap enjoy the use of the file, and then click the link to see the DVD logo lit illustrate use.

8, right-click the boot image, click Add Boot Image.

9, click the DVD drive, select the sources in boot.wim click Open.

10, change the default image source data click Next.

11, the same default summary, we are here to install Windows10 system.

12. Click Finish to complete the boot image added.

13, right-click the installation image, click Add Image.

14, click to create an image group named. (Because this is the first image we created)

15, and the installation boot image before, here select install.wim.

16, change the default image available, click Next.

17, summary default unchanged, click Next.

18. Click Finish, the installation image on configured.

19, right-click the server, select All Tasks, click Start, start WDS service.

(3) the beginning of the experiment
1, create a new virtual machine, select the installation image file later.

2, attention here to select only the host mode. (Server and client should only host mode, or else can not be exchanged)

3, start the virtual machine.

4, see the screen mounting system return key is pressed.

5. Click Next.
6, enter the administrator name and password.

7, WDS service deployed successfully friends.
